Requirement for an engaging Continuous Improvement/Lean Practitioner to drive improvements in the manufacturing processes across 3 sites, with the target to double profits over the next 5 years while maintaining and improving the qualities and levels of service and benefiting from a tailored development plan with external training and recognisable qualifications.

The Opportunity

We are working with a leader in the manufacture of components and spares for the Railway and Rolling Stock on their search for a Lean Practitioner. Working within the manufacturing team, and sharing best practice with the Continuous Improvement Team, the successful candidate will be expected to delve into the existing data to suggest improvements to the existing processes and putting forward Return on Investment business cases.

Location (s):

Southport. Travel required to Crewe and Coventry.

Role and Responsibilities:

Lead improvement activities across agreed projects using the Six Step Methodology
Support the implementation of digital innovation through process improvement activity
Complete monthly Continuous Improvement performance reports
Essentials

Previous experience in a Continuous Improvement/Lean Practitioner role
Experience in a Manufacturing environment
Proven record of achievements within Continuous Improvement/Lean

Desirable

SAP Experience
Six Sigma certification
