We seek a confident mechanical or electrical engineer for an interesting and a challenging role undertaking, test repair and calibration of a wide range of measuring equipment and instrumentation. This is a workshop-based position, has free parking and is easily commutable by train from both Leeds and York.

 

 

As the Test and Calibration Engineer, you will:

Undertake testing and calibration of measuring equipment for industries such as railway, laboratories, hospitals and factories

Calibration & repair of measuring instruments including pressure gauges, dimensional measuring equipment, temperature and torque.

Work to component level to test, repair and replace faulty components

Work to customer delivery targets

Testing, repair and replacement of electrical wiring

Mechanical strip down and rebuild as required.

Meeting customers deadlines.

 

 

 

As the Test and Calibration Engineer, you will:

Suitable recognised qualifications and or experience

An understanding of mechanical and or electrical engineering principles

Communication, organisational and teamwork skills

Initiative, focus and commitment

Be able to work in a targeted environment

Have confident fault-finding and repair skills

Any experience of instrument calibration would be of great interest
