Material Coordinator

An experienced Material Coordinator is required to carry out a broad range of duties relating to inventory management.

 

Required Experience/Skills:

To succeed you will need excellent communication skills and can build relationships internally and externally
You will have previous experience of material control within a warehouse environment using ERP / MRP systems.
IT Literate –competent with MS Excel and MS Word
Driver’s license

 

Attention to detail with focus on problem-solving

Able to pass physically fit for duty medical

Training will be provided regarding the rail depot specific environment and systems.

 

The Role:

· Inspection and recording of goods received and issued to production or shipped offsite.

· Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure on time delivery.

· Prioritise and expedite parts as necessary and work with procurement staff to raise / track purchase orders.

· You will be expected to work to a high standard both independently and as part of a team.

· Always follow safe working practices and standards.

· Perform general warehouse duties as assigned

· Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles

· Stock shelves with received items

Move and rearrange stock to ensure that goods are stored safely, in an organised manner and labelled correctly.
· Adapting and changing the storage solutions to ensure optimum use of space in conjunction with the Warehouse management

Checking products on receipt and on delivery to ensure that it matches the order documentation and is undamaged.
· Monitor and develop Health and Safety within the warehouse, developing best practice through regular inspections.

 

Annual Leave:

35 days annual leave
35 Hour per week Monday – Friday (on occasion overtime may be available)
