Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service?

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no two days are the same? Join us as a Dispatcher at Gloucester Station and play a key role in keeping our railway running smoothly and safely — all while making someone’s journey better, every single day.

As a Dispatcher, you’ll be the friendly face our customers rely on, ensuring the safe and timely departure of trains, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming station environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Putting the customer first – every time
Dispatching trains safely and punctually
Offering friendly, helpful assistance to passengers
Keeping the station clean and presentable (including toilets, waiting rooms, and platforms)

Ensuring the safety of all customers, staff, and contractors.

What We’re Looking For:

A passion for delivering brilliant front-line customer service
A proactive, can-do attitude and strong decision-making skills
Calmness and confidence in challenging situations
Ability to follow strict safety procedures
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
Team player who can also work independently.

Working Pattern:

Shift work is required, including weekends and bank holidays.
Shifts can start as early as 04:15 and finish as late as 02:30, so reliable transport to and from the station outside public transport hours is essential.
