EDM Engineer

Job Title: EDM Engineer – Spark & Wire Erosion
📍 Location: Glasgow | 🕒 Full-time, 37 hours/week | Shift work, Monday to Friday
Salary: Circa £45k. Depending on experience
Reporting to: Manufacturing Lead

Are you a time-served EDM Engineer with a passion for precision and quality? Our client is seeking a skilled Spark & Wire Erosion Engineer to join their team in Glasgow. You’ll play a key role in producing high-precision components using advanced EDM techniques, working in a collaborative and safety-focused environment.

🔧 What You’ll Do

– Set up and operate Spark and Wire Erosion machines to perform EDM precision machining
– Load raw materials and unload finished parts
– Interpret and work from technical drawings to meet customer tolerances
– Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain optimal performance
– Record production data and report any equipment issues
– Conduct routine machine inspections for mechanical or safety concerns
– Maintain well-stocked tooling and material to minimise downtime
– Follow safety guidelines and manufacturing standards at all times
– Provide flexibility and support during peak production periods
