Appointment Basis: Permanent

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 DOE with excellent benefits

Your future role

 

Reporting into the Head of Facilities Management, you’ll work alongside highly motivated professionals within Our Team committed to best-in-class performance in managing and coordinating the facilities contract and support to the maintenance activities for our fleets of trains – London Overground at New Cross Gate and Willesden depots.

 

You will be working with a team responsible for all facilities maintenance across several depots and outstations, utilising our current IFM contractor (CBRE) and dealing with TfL at NXG, while working collaboratively with them to ensure the NXG depot remains fully operational for Alstom to carry out all its train activities.

 

You will understand and work to current Health & Safety requirements, ensuring the safety of all staff, together with adhering to our environmental standards and polices, and fostering our values of agility, inclusivity and responsibility.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Manage our IFM provider in delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to meet Statutory and Legal compliance and Mandatory maintenance on business critical and functionally critical assets.
  • Support site EHS and Operational leads with technical advice during Work Package Plan reviews to ensure all activities are carried out with full compliance with AZDP (Our Zero Deviation Policy) and Health and Safety at work regulations.
  • Interact with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring full support is provided to ensure the operational requirements are met and all issues resolved with a minimum impact to passenger service.
  • Lead on the management of all projects and works under Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
  • Support EHS reporting objectives for Utilities, waste management and accident / incident reporting and the site EHS action plan to reduce risks and prevent Lost Time Accident (LTAs).
  • Manage remedial works fully, including budget and repair times, to meet operational up time of all business-critical assets.

HNC or Equivalent Experience in Engineering or Building Services.

  • Experience of infrastructure and equipment repair management in the railway industry or similar
  • Budget management.
  • Supplier management.

 

Desirable Technical Knowledge / Experience

  • A sound Mechanical and Electrical background.
  • Fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Working knowledge of CDM
  • Understanding of UK statutory and legal compliance regulations.
