Facilities Engineer/Team Leader

I currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Engineer/Team Leader to work for a rail engineering business based in Leicester, stationed at their maintenance depot. This is an electrically biased role, so you must have electrical qualifications.

The starting basic salary is £40,000-£45,000 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour working week from 07:30 am—4 pm. Benefits include a work laptop and mobile phone, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and health, dental, and vision insurance. There will also be further opportunities for professional development.

 

As a Facilities Engineer, your duties will include;

Responsible for collaborating with multiple departments to understand maintenance procedures and processes.
Develop and implement planned maintenance schedules.
Liaise with external vendors for outsourced services.
Leading a team of other engineers on site completing various duties.
Overseeing repairs and improvements to the building.
Hands-on work as and when required.
Produce and manage repairs budget.

 

The ideal Facilities Engineer will have; a strong technical background in facilities, as well as leadership skills and a proactive approach to solving maintenance issues. General day-to-day maintenance can include HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fabric Maintenance.

 

Requirements include; at least 3 years of experience working as a Facilities Engineer/Team Leader along with relevant technical qualifications including one in electrical, gas, air conditioning, or plumbing.
