Engineering Graduate Programme (Route to Chartership)

 

Salary: £32,348 per annum
Start Date: September 2025

Location: York or Manchester

Our Graduate Engineering role is your express route to success. Over 24 months you’ll gain hands-on experience, take on real-world challenges and develop the skills to steer your future in the right direction – all whilst gaining Chartered Engineer status along the way.

What you’ll gain:

A structured development plan aligned with the Rail Engineering Graduate Scheme run by the RDG (Rail Delivery Group), giving you a clear route to achieving Chartership status with the IMEchE.

A bit about you:

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and driven individuals who are due to or have completed an undergraduate bachelors or undergraduate combined master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline and are ready to take on new challenges.

You should be;
Curious and innovative – always looking for smarter solutions.
A great communicator – comfortable engaging with colleagues across different departments.
Proactive and responsible – ready to take ownership of projects and contribute ideas.
Collaborative and confident – keen to work as part of a team to drive change and improvements.

You must also make sure;
You are predicted or have obtained a 2:1 or higher grade.
You have attended a university in the North of England.
