We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The Engineer is responsible for producing and checking bills of materials, detailed wiring drawings, specifications, reports and associated calculations. They must support the Engineering Manager to ensure all relevant engineering documents and forms within the BOS are up to date and reflect current practice. They are responsible for liaising with the Engineering Lead to ensure RSP’s engineering solutions are compliant with all legislation, regulations and standards as well as meeting customer specifications. They will report to the Engineering Manager and support them to help ensure RSP always implements the best technical solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Produce Bills of Materials against design drawings
• Produce detailed wiring drawings and control their issue to Production and Test
• Carry out independent checking of wiring designs
• Update Sub-Assembly BoMs and manage Concessions
• Liaise with the Engineering Lead regarding continuous improvement and standardisation
• Assist in the management of Technical Queries, Concessions and Engineering Feedback Notes
• Revise and update Business Operating System Processes and Forms to ensure they align with current best practices.

Strategic responsibilities:

• Undertake Continuing Professional Development
• Liaise with the Engineering Lead regarding continuous improvement and standardisation
• Support the Engineering Manager to report on KPIs and prepare annual budgetary forecasts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year

Experience:
