Cleaner- The Mid-Norfolk Railway

Responsibilities:

Performing cleaning duties in designated areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, communal spaces and train carriages.
Dust, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Report any maintenance or equipment issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and report when replenishment is needed.
Provide excellent service by responding to requests or concerns promptly and professionally.

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in office, hospitality, or facilities cleaning
Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment
Awareness of hygiene and safety practices, including safe handling of cleaning materials
Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
Ability to work to a cleaning schedule independently
Time management and task prioritisation
Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:

None required, but must demonstrate safe working ability and understanding of cleaning tasks
Physically able to perform duties including standing, walking, bending, and lifting cleaning equipment or supplies
Basic spoken and written English.

Salary & Hours:

National Minimum Wage, minimum 4 hours per week with additional hours available at peak times, including weekends & evenings.
