About the role:
Play a key role in keeping our railway safe, connected and informed.
We’re looking for a proactive and organised individual to co-ordinate the systems and engagement activities that underpin safety across. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your safety career within a dynamic and vital part of the transport.
Administering and maintaining our Document Management System for all key safety documentation.
Managing the delivery of safety engagement programmes across the business, including ELT safety visits and the annual cultural survey.
Supporting the Occupational and Operational Standards Managers with the development and continuous improvement of our Safety Management System.
Co-ordinating EMR’s interactions with external regulators including the ORR and RSSB.
Maintaining key platforms such as SharePoint and the Risk Assessment Hub.
Providing administrative support for safety governance and meetings.
Assisting with safety investigations and ensuring corrective actions are tracked and completed.
Supporting driver license compliance checks and reporting.
Key Skills needed:
Experience in a safety leadership support role within a safety-critical environment—rail experience desirable.
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level of experience.
Working towards IOSH membership.
Strong understanding of safety systems, document control, and industry standards.
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
