Brief Description:
This role sits within Supply Chain Operations (SCO), an area of the business which supplies and delivers the logistics, materials, components, rail and road fleet that enable the maintenance and renewal of the railway.
SCO keeps the materials, machinery and components required by its customers moving – making sure they are on-site when needed so work can go ahead as planned and on schedule.
About the role:
You will lead submission of the period possession and Temporary Speed Restrictions plan for the Depot.
Support this with haulage, On Track Machines and isolation orders that meet industry timescales and enable the meeting of programme cost and volume targets.
You will also provide Planning Delivering Safe Works / Safe Systems Of Works planning service for the depot.
1. Key Accountabilities:
1. Produce documentation and communication during the Period Possession Planning process. Input plan requirements to Possession Planning System and Network Rail On Line Logistics to meet industry and Stagegate timescales
2. Deliver a workable plan that is in place prior to Stagegate Reviews and Assist with the process of notification of access easements to National Supply Chain planners.
3. Check all possession / isolation limits are inputted and allocated correctly within timescales and feedback for Stagegate reviews.
4. Check and validate HO Senior Campaign Managers plans to identify/remove errors and create compliant worksites with train, On Track Machine, and isolation plans for each campaign.
5. Provide information to support the resolution of operator responses to the Rules of the Route, Engineering Access Statement.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential;
Proven ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Working knowledge of access and haulage planning systems and processes.
Proven experience in delivering to agreed timelines and standards
Good communication skills and a customer focussed approach
Ability to handle shot term pressures arising from short term deadlines to achieve the requirements.
Vacancy type: This role is permanent.
Location: This position is based in Crewe.
Hours: up to 35 hours per week with hybrid working and travel as required. Flexible working can be considered.
Salary range: £35,582 to £40,830 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
