The Opportunity:
Due to recently being awarded new packages of work, they are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join the team.The purpose of the role will be to lead and manage the commercial team working within allocated portfolio of multidisciplinary light rail projects from inception through to final account and close out, delivering maximum commercial results.
The Package:
£70-90,000 per annum (DOE)
£7,500 car allowance

The Company;
This company is a leading provider of railway infrastructure services, providing design, engineering, project management, construction and maintenance solutions for the light-rail, metro, mainline and high-speed markets. In this case, they are the main contractor on a £1.3bn rail extension project due to end in 2026. Once the scheme is finished you will be given the opportunity to either stay within rail or diversify your skillset and move into the wider group that operate in the highways, infrastructure and environmental sectors.
The ideal Candidate;
Must be able to commute to Birmingham 5 days a week. (Essential)
Significant Postgrad experience operating as a Commercial Lead (Essential)
BSc in Quantity Surveying or relevant qualification (Essential)
Rail experience is ideal however civil engineering experience will suffice (Essential)
Experience of Financial and commercial reporting to board level
Live within a commutable distance of the office in BIrmingham (Essential)
Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Desirable)
Likely Job Titles: Senior Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Project Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Commercial Lead.
