Business Analyst (Rail Sector Experience Required)
Location: London
Contract Type: 12-month FTC
Salary: Flexible depending on experience (this will be paid on a permanent salary not day-rate)
Are you a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst with a solid background in the rail sector? Do you have a passion for driving change and shaping the future of a public-owned railway? If so, we are keen to hear from you.
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support business change, continuous improvement, and efficient IT architecture design in preparation for the transition to a public-owned structure.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Business Analyst, you will;
Provide administrative support to the Project Manager and Sponsor to deliver business change requirements.
Design and implement data maps, systems, and controls to meet project objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps in data processes and develop improved reporting and data-sharing solutions.
Drive continuous improvement in data collection processes, aligning with the broader data strategy.
Establish governance and process controls to support the transition process effectively.
About You:
We’re looking for someone with the following;
Experience;
Confident working with the full O365 platform suite.
Proven experience in railway operations, key data management, and reporting timeframes.
Experience building and managing SharePoint lists.
Knowledge;
Strong understanding of the Microsoft Platform stack, including SharePoint, Power BI, and PowerApps.
Familiarity with railway terms and conditions (desirable).
Skills & Competencies;
Quick learner with a strong grasp of systems and processes.
Flexible, responsive, and able to handle planned and unplanned priorities.
Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and active listening.
A collaborative team player who can also manage their workload independently.
A proactive problem solver with a calm, ‘can-do’ attitude.
