Flood Risk Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Fulfil the council’s duty as the Lead Local Flood Authority
Provide consultation responses to planning applications concerning surface water flood risk and drainage
Track and monitor consultations from the Local Planning Authority
Provide responses within 21 days of receiving consultations
Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure effective flood risk management
Participate in office team days on Mondays for collaborative work

Job Requirements:

Experience in flood risk engineering and flood risk management
Strong understanding of surface water flood risk and drainage
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in tracking and monitoring consultation responses
Ability to provide timely and accurate responses within set deadlines
Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work from home with occasional office days
