Job role requirements:
Must be time served with a recognised apprenticeship qualification including Technical Certificate within Mechanical Engineering, equivalents may be considered.
Essential machining skills; Turning, Milling and Slotting to fine tolerances.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work off own initiative.
Dual role capability preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
Work constructively with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Valid UK Driving Licence.
Experience:
Proven experience in a Machinist/Machine Shop role or similar position is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
Familiarity with mathematics for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
Experience using Lathes, Milling Machines, Slotters and Borers.
A background in medium to heavy engineering is advantageous but not mandatory.
