Full job description
What you’ll be doing:
- Working alongside experienced civil engineers developing skills in the design of rail civils and structures, rail track, geotechnics, and project & design management.
- Assisting the rail team in providing a comprehensive design and advisory service, focused on meeting the engineering challenges involved in servicing the infrastructure requirements of renewal and enhancement projects.
- Working across all types of railway systems with clients ranging from local developers through to international contractors working for public sector bodies.
What you’ll bring:
- A relevant degree, such as Civil and/or Structural Engineering degree, or studying towards a relevant degree for the role you are applying for
- A knowledge of AutoCAD and other industry software
- Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better
- Great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience – academically, socially and in any previous work situations
- Enthusiastic and ambitious attitude, keen to learn and progress
- Problem solving and strong communication skills
- Personal organisation skills, and the ability to work well within a team
- Right to Work and live in the UK
- Work experience in the Engineering industry, either through work experience or as part of an academic course, are ideally sought
