Platform Train Interface (PTI) & Station Safety Manager

As a PTI & Stations Safety Manager, you will ensure that West Midlands Trains has robust strategies, procedures and standards to reduce risk associated with the platform train interface (PTI) and in accordance with legal and industry requirements. The role will focus on our stations across the London Northwestern (LNR) route.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake platform train interface risk assessments
Provide expert advice on train dispatch plans
Review industry best practice and develop robust platform train interface reduction plans
Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders and attend safety meetings to provide insight and expert advice and analysis of safety management information
Provide support and guidance to station management teams in the undertaking of risk assessments and safety inspections to ensure there is a consistent and high-quality approach.
What skills and experience do I need to do the job?
Experience of working in a rail operations environment, preferably an in-depth knowledge of train dispatch activities
Experience of developing standards, procedures and briefing documents
Having flexibility with your hours of work
Excellent IT skills and be able to project manage
Experience of carrying out quantitative risk assessments
Knowledge of rules, regulations, instructions and guidance around operational safety.
