Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Rail Signalling & Telecoms Engineers to support the design, installation, and commissioning of signalling and telecoms systems for major rail projects across the UK. You will help deliver safe, efficient, and reliable railway operations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Develop and produce signalling and telecoms designs, including control systems, interlockings, and lineside equipment.
Prepare design documentation, technical reports, and drawings in line with project and regulatory standards.
Support project delivery from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and implementation.
Conduct site surveys, assessments, and support testing and commissioning activities.
Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards and applicable safety and quality regulations.
Liaise with multidisciplinary design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure integrated project delivery.

 

Requirements

Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience working on UK rail signalling and/or telecoms projects.
Knowledge of relevant standards and systems (e.g., Network Rail signalling principles, ETCS, GSM-R, FTN).
Proficiency with design software and signalling tools.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Chartered status or working towards chartership (IET or equivalent) preferred.
