About Us:
We deliver multi-disciplinary projects across the UK Rail Network and wider industry environments, collaborating with Tier 1 contractors and supply chain partners. We are currently seeking a talented Bid Writer to join our growing team working at our Head Office in East Kilbride.
Overview:
As a Bid Writer, you will play a central role in producing, high-quality bid documents for rail infrastructure projects. Working closely with bid managers, engineers, project managers, and commercial teams, you will ensure that our submissions are persuasive, accurate, and aligned with client requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills, a sound understanding of rail industry requirements, and experience developing strong, client-focused proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and format bid and tender documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with client specifications.
- Collaborate with technical, commercial, and operational staff to translate complex information into persuasive, client-focused responses.
- Assist in reviewing tender documents, identifying key requirements, and contributing to bid strategy.
- Assist in providing estimates.
- Ensure bid submissions are well-structured, consistent, and delivered on time.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to support information when required.
- Contribute to lessons learned reviews and continuous improvement of bid processes.
Skills:
- Experience in bid writing or related roles within the rail or wider engineering sector.
- Strong technical understanding of rail infrastructure projects (power, civils, or telecoms).
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive content.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret tender documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with bid management software is desirable.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
