Role: Behaviour Mentor

Location: Manchester

A Behaviour Mentor is responsible for observing, mentoring, and coaching railway staff to promote positive behavioral change and improve safety, efficiency, and customer experience. They also identify and mitigate potential behavioral risks and collaborate with stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture. We’re currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced behavior mentor for a secondary academy based in the Manchester area. The role will begin on 09/12/2024 and is offered full-time, long-term until the summer.

The school are looking for someone who can quickly build rapport and engage with their students, helping and supporting them with various requirements. Pupils will display challenging behaviour and the chosen individual will need to have experience in this area with knowledge of de-escalation techniques.

You will be working with pupils on both a 1-1 basis and in groups, engaging and supporting the students to re-integrate them into the classroom.

Key requirements:

Experience of working in secondary schools or academies
Experience of working with secondary age pupils across KS3/4
Strong behaviour management
Familiar with various de-escalation techniques
Excellent communication skills
Ability to quickly engage and build rapport
Available from 09/12/2024
Flexible and adaptable in your approach
Hold right to work in the UK
Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
