A vacancy has come available with a National Multi-Disciplinary’s Basingstoke office for a Bridge Engineer. In this role you will be involved in the Design, Assessment and Inspection of Rail & Footbridge’s. The main bulk of the teams work is Network Rail major projects and repair/strengthening schemes. You will also gain experience of Rail Infrastructure and Building Structures whilst working in this team. They are ideally looking for someone with between 2 – 5 years Bridge Engineering experience, you will be able to show capabilities in Finite Element Analysis using LUSAS, Inspections and Detailed Bridge design using MIDAS/REVIT.

 

Bridge Engineer Responsibilities:

– Design of civil and structural schemes
– Experiences in design of Bridges is preferrable.
– Experiences in working with Network Rail will be an advantage.
– Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others
– Carrying out inspections and surveys of structures and preparing reports
– Undertaking feasibility / option studies
– Preparation of project programmes

 

Bridge Engineer Requirements:

– Relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree BEng, MEng or MSc.
– Engineer with +2 years post graduation.
– Full UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not imperative
– Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English
