Job Title: Spray Painter

Location: Basildon

Job Type: Permanent

Working hours: . 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm (30 minutes unpaid for lunch), Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

Rate: £17-£18ph with overtime available

Zed Rail Limited services have partnered with a leading Aerospace Manufacturer based in Basildon, Essex who are seeking a dedicated and skilled paint sprayer to join their team.

Responsibilities for the paint sprayer:

Experience working with 2k and 3k paint with a manual spray gun
Ensure all paint materials are mixed correctly for colour and consistency and recorded for paint traceability in accordance with work instruction sheets
Prepare pre-treated aluminium
Apply primer and topcoats to work instruction sheets
Be trained to be able to perform paint thickness and adhesion checks and record information in accordance with British and European Standards
Setting up the spray equipment and preparing surfaces to be covered
Quality check all finished jobs
Clean and maintain all spray equipment, spray booths and associated equipment.

Be able to concentrate to enable quality finish to painted components
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Able to work safely
Excellent hand-to-eye coordination
Normal color vision
