Assistant RAIL Project Manager
Based in Cwmbach, Aberdare
Working Hours: 8am–5pm
You will work with a small rail team and be involved in the safe execution of projects from the design and construction phase to mobilisation to hand back, in accordance with company policies, procedures and Railway Standards.
Responsibilities
Carry out project feasibility, survey, scoping,
Assist in tendering and design processes.
Produce contract programs and weekly programmes.
Management of all project-related correspondence, programmes, plans, CPP, WPP, RA, MS, and associated documentation.
Successfully deliver technical projects in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, all in accordance with the contract.
Ensure all site activities comply with company and site standards for SHQE requirements.
Management of works includes labour, plants, and subcontractors.
Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of projects.
Keep client informed on project progress, make requests, and act on feedback.
Produce ‘lessons learned’ and case studies.
Knowledge and skills
3 years plus of relevant RAIL industry/sector experience.
Degree in Civil Engineering (desirable but not essential).
Commercial awareness.
A good understanding of CDM Regulations.
Sentinel card with PTS.
A team player with excellent organisational skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
IT literate.
Full UK Driving license; on-site travel is necessary, occasional overnight stays.
