Quality Management Systems Engineer

Zed Rail Limited are supporting Electronics Manufacturing firm based in Andover with appointing a Quality Systems Engineer.

Location: Andover, Hampshire (100% onsite)
Salary:  up to £50,000 per annum DOE
Duration: perm / full-time
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00; Friday: 08:30 – 15:30

About the Role

We’re looking for a Quality Systems Engineer to help improve and manage quality systems.

In this role, you’ll ensure the business runs smoothly by keeping systems up to date, supporting audits, and helping meet high industry standards like ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485.

You’ll work closely with different teams, take part in audits, and help solve problems using proven methods like 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams. You’ll also help manage documents, track performance, and support the QHSE Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

– Maintain and improve our Business Management System using specialised software.
– Help write and update quality documentation and procedures.
– Lead or support internal audits and help prepare for external audits.
– Work with different departments to improve quality and performance.
– Support investigations into quality issues and suggest improvements.
– Provide regular updates and reports to management.

What We’re Looking For Essential:

– 3+ years in a quality role within manufacturing (preferably medical, aerospace, automotive, or similar).
– Experience with quality standards like ISO9001, AS9100, ISO13485, ISO14001.
– Strong audit skills – ideally certified or qualified in internal auditing.

Desirable:
– Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar).
– Hands-on knowledge of electronics is a plus.
